Item #576 - Antique Iron Gold Scale

Description: This old scale is made of cast iron with two unmatched brass trays. It comes with a few weights. It does balance and work, although it does not balance with the unmatched brass trays while they are empty, nor is it balanced without the trays. Weights are needed in each tray to make it balance. We see no way to make an adjustment. The scales are well made and appear to be from the mid to late 19th century. The only marking is a 3K on the base.
