Item #1740 - Antique Cowhide Tacked Box

Description: Payment for this item by money order only. Made in the mid 1800s, this box is cowhide covered {worn} and trimmed with brass tacks. This box measures 16" long, 8" tall and 10" wide. Brass handle on top was probably added later. Original metal hardware. Paper label inside says "Briggs Saddler, Cap and Harness Maker, New Bedford." A nice decorator item thats not too big. Two larger boxes are also available for purchase.
