Item #1616 - Antique Kerosene Indian Lamp

Description: The last copyright for this lamp is 1893. It appears to be all original and has not been converted to electricity. It is a functional kerosene lamp and all the parts are there including a wick. The design of the buffalo bust and "Chief Red Cloud" are prints or transfer prints that appear to be embedded into the glass of the font. Chief Red Cloud has what looks like a white fired enamel, that has been applied by hand as an accent and detail to the headdress. Only the burner is signed and no other parts of the lamp bears a signature. The glass shade is frosted and has a polished grape and vine design. There are 17 pictures of this piece below. It is in excellent working condition.
