Item #1461 - Whitmire Indian Watercolor

Description: Antique 17" tall Indian maiden is circa late 1920s - early 1930s. The painting is gouache (opaque watercolor) and colored pencil on a material that looks like a cloth or a thin type of felt-like substance although it may be a paper. It is very hard to determine. The frame looks to be original to the painting and is plaster. The glass looks original also. It is signed by the artist "Frances Whitmire." It has had minor restoration to improve the general overall appearance. Excellent condition.
