Item #1126 - Antique Bull & Longhorn Steer Clock
Description: This is an 8 day key wind clock, key included, made by the Sessions Clock Co. sometime in the early twentieth century. It strikes on a gong once on the half hour and appropriate number for each hour. The original dial is a heavy paper with brass grommets around the winding holes and is signed "Made by the Sessions Clock Company, Forrestville, Conn. U.S.A". It is in good working order having been oiled and cleaned recently.The case is made of wood with the original black enamel paint and is in very good condition for being close to 100 years old. The reeded brass columns are adorned with Spelter, Gold colored, bases and Corinthian capitals. The clock sits atop 2 gold colored Spelter feet. The two long horn Steer heads, on each side of the clock, and the Bull Statue atop the clock are dark colored Spelter. The Bull is attached and does not come off. This clock weighs about 10 pounds and stands 16 inches tall by 15 inches wide and is 6 inches deep.
